Okay, so I had this super weird dream last night. I really have no idea where any of this stuff came from, but ever since that first dream about dying that I posted, I’ve had some sort of really crazy dream almost every night.

Being home is always a great time to take a break and relax, but having come from J-term, which was basically a break in and of itself, I just feel really lazy and useless. I did go out to the Fairborn Young Life tonight though and that was a nice bit of social interaction. Though, it was slightly terrifying as well as being nice. There were hoards of minors (of whom I’m not all that far removed, but I enjoy pretending that I am) just seething with the teenage joy of socializing outside of school. It’s weird, because when you go away, even for just a relatively short time, all the old familiar places get overrun with packs of strangers and insane new people. I guess when you’re not there to watch the tides of persons come in and then go out, everything seems much more abrupt and hostile.

He who exercises his reason and cultivates it seems to be both in the best state of mind and most dear to the gods. For if the gods have any care for human affairs, as they are thought to have, it would be reasonable both that they should delight in that which was best and most akin to them (i.e. reason) and that they should reward those who love and honor this the most, as caring for the things that are dear to them and acting both rightly and nobly. And that these attributes belong most of all to the philosopher is manifest. He, therefore, is the dearest to the gods. And he who is that will presumably be also the happiest; so that is this way too the philosopher will more than any other be happy.

Not much to report, except for one enormously awesome thing: Today I got Beast Wars: The Complete First Season in the mail. I’m super pumped about this show. It was just about my favorite thing to watch in elementary school, and honestly, what is better than a nineties transformers TV series featuring some of the earliest and worst computer graphics? Nothing I can think of right now.
