It’s been blasphemously long since I last spilled my mind onto this site. I haven’t had a break from writing this long in quite a while, so I was a little surprised when the strange imagination juices in my brain started trying to find other ways to manifest themselves into the world. You can see my latest creation (and basically the product of my first completely free day in several weeks) here:

The White Death

Monday, December 19th, 2005

I’m pretty sure that it’s at least –100 degrees outside. Cold enough that after having taken fifteen minutes to warm up enough for me to use the heat, my car started getting colder again. That could be just because my car is old and senile, but I prefer to think that it’s because it’s Siberia cold outside. It’s like that time when I was on this frozen planet and I found a friend of mine who’d been attacked by a giant snow beast and was about to freeze to death, so I cut open the stomach of the weird kangaroo-horse thing I was riding and stuck him in there to keep warm. Man, that was a crazy time.

Look look! Neato!

Sunday, December 18th, 2005

I wasn’t feeling so hot tonight, so I decided to stay in for the evening and ended up designing a new layout for the site. It’s even simpler than the old design and I think it has a very “hip” feel to it. You know, to show all the kids that I’m “with it” and “totally groovey”.

Anyway, I left out the “Latest And Greatest” section as well as the calendar. I’m not really sure if anyone ever looked at the former, and the calendar may or may not have been used by anyone at any point in its lonely existence. Let me know if you thought the LAG section was interesting enough for me to keep around and/or if the calendar is worth having. And if you feel so inclined, I’d like to hear some thoughts on the new look too. I’m got a few finishing touches to add, but this is it more or less.

Working Wonders

Wednesday, December 14th, 2005

Even though I’ve only been out of work and in school for about two and a half months, it feels like a lot longer than that. Going back to work and doing the nine to five deal has been a lot harder than I expected. I know some people work and go to school all at the same time, and that’s impressive to me. Sitting in once place for the better part of a day isn’t easy to go back to when you’re used to taking life one hour at a time. I think I’m probably just spoiled and wimpy.
