Last week Paul came home from grocery shopping with four Lego robots. But these weren’t normal Lego’s like I was used to when I was a kid. These things had glowing laser tubes and huge claw pieces and the Lego men had hair and facial features. It was crazy, but kind of cool. That night the four of us in the house stayed up late into the night struggling to put together our battle robots. We were all very excited when they were done and mounted them with care and pride on our mantle in the living room. Do you have anything cool as war mechs over your fireplace? I doubt it.

Thanksgiving is in a week. I’m so pumped up, you don’t even know. I’m really ready to sit at home and do absolutely nothing for a few days. Classes are starting to wind down, but by winding down they’re also kind of winding up. I have all kinds of crazy papers and exams all lined up. Most of my professors have suddenly realized that we only have three weeks left and they’ve only given one or two exams. It never fails. They always scramble to throw us some grades really quickly here at the end. But whatever. That’s the magic of quarters.

Poor Propaganda

On Tuesday I was walking down the street to my car after finishing all my business on campus for the day, when I noticed some kind of paper or flyer or something on my windshield. As I drew closer, I saw that it was a brochure type thing with all the local voter issues on it. “That’s cool,” I thought. “Way to inform the public.” It immediately ceased being cool, however, when I went to fling it into the street and realized that it was an 8.5×11’’ sticker.

Another Apple Adventure

Two weeks ago or so, my roommates and I bought some movie channels and a DV-R. Now we’re set to be able to watch TV happily for the rest of our lives without ever seeing anything we aren’t at least slightly interested in.
