Cookie Cascade

Fall quarter is over and I’ve been at home in Dayton for a few days now. Things here have been nice and relaxing, and I’ve devoted myself wholeheartedly to the practices of eating, reading, and sleeping. The Thanksgiving holiday brings with it an overabundance of turkey, while the Christmas holiday (and period leading up to it) exhibits, without fail, a seemingly limitless production of cookies. It is this particular seasonal tide of cookies that has filled our home and through which we must swim and, eventually, eat our way to freedom. I’m struggling to do my part, but it’s an uphill battle with new batches coming into the house daily.
