As it happens, living in a house of strangers is not that much different from living in a house of friends. In terms of the day-to-day, tooth and nail grind of life anyhow. There are the messy ones, the quiet ones, and the controlling ones. And there are also the thieves. I think no matter where you live, among friends, family, strangers, aliens, penguins, whatever, there will always be those who like to stick their hand into the fridge or pantry when nobody’s looking.

Meter Meeting

Am I the only one who gets paranoid when I park on the street and there aren’t any other cars around? Especially at night. I always think, “Okay, if I’m the only person taking advantage of these 560 empty spots on the street, they must not really be empty spots.” In Cincinnati anyway, finding an empty spot on the street is like finding a $5 bill on the sidewalk. So last night I was a little apprehensive when I parked on a street full of empty parking meters.
